Charity Starts at Home, and home for us is Lichfield
We support a number of local projects close to our heart. Simply
by working with Golddust Direct, you have an option to do that too! We’re committed to supporting Re-engage Lichfield, The Darwin Walk Trust and The Woodlands Trust, all of which are lynchpins of the community.
Re-engage, Lichfield: The Lichfield branch of this national charity (which was formally called Contact the Elderly) was founded by Hannah, Golddust Direct’s MD, to tackle social isolation among older people in the region.
In partnership with Re-engage we offer ‘Letters for Loneliness’. These lovely letters are sent to older people in the region who live alone; to let them know they’re not forgotten. The Darwin Walk Trust: A 10 mile walk encircling the city to commemorate Erasmus Darwin’s association with Lichfield. We help to promote the walk with free of charge direct mail drops to keep the local community socialising and healthly.
The Woodlands Trust: Creating new woodland is at the heart of what they do. They mobilise communities, landowners and volunteers to get trees in the ground, and aim to plant a tree for every person in the UK.
